Best friends Katie and Suzanne are both nominated for mayor of the fourth grade, and Suzanne wants to win so much that she starts spreading mean rumors, while Katie gets an inside look at the Cherrydale mayoral race.

As Christmas approaches, Katie makes time to help others find the Christmas spirit as the magic wind first switches her with a Christmas tree farm employee, then with an unusual character at North Pole Winter Fun Park.

Katie is very excited about her family's trip to London, Paris, Madrid, and Venice, but when the magic wind strikes not once, but four times, Katie's European vacation is turned upside down.

Katie's vacation aboard a cruise ship with on-deck miniature golf, a chance to swim with dolphins, and her best friend Suzanne along, sounds wonderful, but the magic wind throws everything off-course when it turns her first into a dolphin and then into a renowned chocolate chef.
