Description
This video based course immerses the student in the everyday English needed by recent arrivals to the United States. Each one hour video in the series teaches the four language skills by incorporating everyday English through typical situations, conversations, and tasks including: going to the doctor, going to the pharmacy, cleaning the home, alternative medicine, reporting a crime, getting things fixed, and social services. The videodisc is accompanied by the student's workbook, offering interactive practice with vocabulary and grammar after viewing the videodisc. A one-hour audio disc is also included for reinforcement and listening and speaking practice.
