The Notebook of Doom is missing and Alexander and his fellow-monster hunters, Rip and Nikki, are convinced that the boss-monster has it; but is that monster the mysterious Principal Vanderpants, who is certainly behaving oddly, or someone else--and they need to figure that out quickly because a mistake could have deadly consequences for Stermont Elementary.

Alexander is used to finding monsters everywhere in Stermont, but now the school is being turned into an icebox by giant meat-eating vegetables--and his friend Rip has gone missing.

It is a very hot summer in Stermont, and Alexander and his friends are at Camp Gloamy in the mountains, but even here there are monsters--specifically zombie snowmen called snombies who want to freeze the young monster-hunters.

In this tenth book, Alexander keeps seeing monsters that the S.S.M.P. has ALREADY defeated! But his friends Rip and Nikki think he is going crazy. Could there be zombie monsters on the loose? Or is there a monster that can turn into ANYTHING? Alexander will have to protect the town -- and the notebook -- from Stermont's latest monster!

Alexander's class is going on a field trip to an amusement park called Safety Land with really slow, boring rides--but this is Stermont, and when a weird magician tells Alexander and his friends that the roller coaster is haunted things start to get a lot more interesting.

It has been several months since monsters last plagued the town of Stermont, and frankly Alexander Bopp (leader of the Super Secret Monster Patrol) is bored, and misses his friends Rip (immersed in video games) and Nikki (soccer camp), so when his father signs him up for a summer maker program at the library he is happy to go--but soon he starts finding weird old-timey objects, and monster trading cards, and it starts to look like maybe monsters are...

It is time for the Stermont Derby, a race around downtown Stermont in homemade vehicles, and Alexander, Nikki, and Rip are planning to compete, but so is a new monster, a Speedah-cheetah--and in addition to a diet of rotten eggs it plans on eating the race losers, especially the members of the Super Secret Monster Patrol.

It has been a busy summer of makerspace projects at the library and monster hunting for the three members of the Super Secret Monster Patrol, and the puddles that are appearing all over town are a clue to the identity of another monster--an angry hydra water monster who is obsessed with cleaning up (literally) the town of Stermont, even if it means drowning all the messy children who live there.

The farm animals are ready when the seasons change--except for Cow, who's always wearing the wrong outfit.

Clarence joins his neighbor, Mr. Dent, and his cat Throttle for a day of surfing at the beach, but when Throttle gets into trouble and cannot swim, it's up to Clarence to save the day.
